Proper tree care and protection is an investment in the future. For trees in man-made environments to live long and prosper, their management should follow certain standards. The following standards, which we have developed as part of the “Trees for Europe’s Green Infrastructure” project, serve this purpose.
The standard of protection of trees and other plants in the investment process covers comprehensive processes from design to implementation, describing and organising protection measures – including work technologies and responsible persons. It can be a real help for all participants of the investment process, facilitating the setting of goals, implementation, as well as control and evaluation.
Support for our Project LIFE15GIE/PL/000959 „Trees for Europe’s Green Infrastructure” is first and foremost assured by the EU’s LIFE Programme, as well as the Voivodeship Funds for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Wrocław, Gdańsk and Poznań (Poland); Stefan Batory Foundation, the United Kingdom’s Charities Aid Foundation; and the Norddeutsche Stiftung für Umwelt und Entwicklung based in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. The Project is also funded by donations from individuals and institutions, as well as from the Project partners’ own means.
